Bernadine Holtz

1948-2020

Bernadine L. M. Holtz, 72, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Medford passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020. Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held Jan. 9, in Mesa, Ariz. She was born on Nov. 24, 1948 to Carl and Thema (Downing) Neubauer. She attended Medford Area Schools. On June 18, 1966 she married Jonathon James Holtz (Jack) in Medford. Together they ran a business in Wisconsin Dells, later moving to Arizona.

She enjoyed family, friends and playing bingo at the senior center.

Bernadine is survived by her special friend, Walter Gray; her son, Jonathon Jay Holtz; daughter, Cindy (Steve) Hathway; her sisters, Sharon (Lewe) Jossart, Elaine (Michael) Friedenfels; brother-in-law, Richard (Barbara) Holtz, David Holtz, Robert Jr. (Marlene) Holtz; four grandchildren; a nephew; and nieces.

Bernadine was preceded in death by her husband, Jonathon; parents, Carl and Thema Neubauer; her brother, Gerald (Butch) Neubauer; three sisters, Mary, Karen and Janet; a granddaughter, Brianna Faith Holtz; in-laws, Robert (Edna) Holtz; nephew, Christopher Friedenfels.
