Douglas J. Thomas, 74, of Marshfield, died Dec. 27, 2020, at his home after a brave health battle. There will be a private committal.

Doug was born Jan. 30, 1946, to Walt and Marge Thomas of Marshfield. He attended Marshfield public schools and owned Thomas Grocery until the late 1960s. He married Jeanie Loertscher on June 19, 1993. His favorite pastime was hunting in the Glidden area with his sons and their friends.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Brad (Tammy) Thomas of Oshkosh and Bill (Amy) Thomas of Schofield; and daughter, Erin Thomas of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Tyler, Samantha, Adam, Hannah and Alisun; and sisters, Judy (Jalil) Mirzadegan, Lago Vista, Texas, and Jan Lewis, Houston, Texas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Gordon; and a son, Michael.
