Alvin D. Blazel, Jr.

1940-2020

Alvin D. Blazel, Jr., 80, of the Township of Holton, passed away on Dec. 21, 2020 at his residence.

Funeral Services for Alvin will take place on Monday, Jan. 4 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby at 11 a.m., with Father Joseph Redfern officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday, Jan. 4 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Alvin was born on July 28, 1940 to Alvin, Sr. and Elizabeth (Keonigs) Blazel in Dorchester. He graduated from Dorchester High School. After schooling, he held various jobs such as mechanical repair, road construction, working for International Harvester, Michael’s Pipeline, and Gabe’s Construction. He was drafted in the Army and served in the 60’s.

Alvin is survived by his son, Eric Blazel of Dorchester; brothers, James Blazel of Medford and Dennis Blazel of Madison; sister, Louise Brill of Abbottsford and Hellen Bussee of Dorchester; nieces, Heather, Amanda, April; and nephew, Henry. Alvin is further survived by other family and friends.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Donna Brunner; son, Bruce Blazel.
