Alice M. (Buchberger) Lepak was gathered in God’s loving arms on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, at age 83.

She was born on Nov. 2, 1937, in Marathon, daughter of the late Alex and Ella (Hornung) Buchberger. She was united in marriage on August 4, 1956, to Jerome Lepak, who survives. She was a devoted wife for 64 years. Alice was a caring mother of Jeff (Susan) Lepak, Russ (Toni) Lepak, Cheri (Randy) Carr, Bill Lepak and the late Danny Lepak. She was a proud grandmother of Jessica (Jamie) Westlund, James (Katie) Lepak, Melissa (Brian) Schuett and Chad Lepak, Kevin (Tina) Carr, Kelly (Nate) Weller, Kory (Jessica) Carr, in addition, her great-grandchildren Lena and Arlo Westlund, Liam and Loretta Lepak and Aubrey, Lia and Ty Schuett, Brayden and Sophia Carr, Collin, Alex and Ryan Weller. She is also survived by her dear sisters: Joan Lepak and Marilyn Schumacher; brother-in-law, Ken Lepak; sisters-in-law: Irene Knetter, Evie Imhoff and Carol Mason, and many other relatives and friends. Besides her son, Danny, and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Earl and Charles Buchberger.

Alice was a hard worker with great enthusiasm for life. She loved working in her garden, spending time fishing with family members, cheering on her favorite basketball teams, bowling and welcoming family members with wonderful home cooked dinners and delicious desserts. Alice was a woman of strong faith who embraced life with passion, joy and laughter. She was loved by all who knew her.

A special thank you to the staff and Palliative Care at Pro-Health Waukesha Memorial Hospital for caring for Mom. Bevsek-Verbick Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Due to COVID, private services will be held. A celebration of Alice’s life will be scheduled at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society, St. Ben’s Community Meal Program or for Masses at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Big Bend, celebrated in Alice’s name would be appreciated.

Alice was a kind, dependable, and generous woman with a big heart and will be missed dearly by all who loved her.
