Harold Fleischman
Harold F. Fleischman, 81, Loyal, passed away at Marshfi eld Medical Center on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020. A private Mass of Christian Burial was held for his family at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 5, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal, with Rev. Leo Johnson officiating. Burial will be held in the parish cemetery at a later date.
Harold Frank Fleischman was born on Feb. 20, 1939, in the town of Richfield, rural Marshfield, to Frank H. and Veronica A. (nee Zinthefer) Fleischman. As a young boy, his family moved to Spencer, where he was raised and received his education, graduating from Spencer High School in 1957. After high school, Harold worked in Thorp, where he managed a grocery store. He was united in marriage to Marion H. Faucher on Nov. 11, 1961, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer. They resided in Spencer and Harold worked at Pathfinder Homes until its closing. They moved to Loyal and he worked at Greenwood Homes and Stratford Homes, both in Greenwood, until their closing. Harold then worked at the Loyal Cannery as a foreman, and then spent his last 20 working years as the custodian for St. Anthony Catholic Church. After retiring in 2001, he continued working part-time at his son, Pat’s, business in Spencer (Bear Creek Canvas). He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Chequamegon Wildlife and Rec Club. Harold had many interests, but especially loved spending time with his family and friends, hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Marion, of Loyal; two sons: James (Therese) of Marshfi eld, and Pat of Spencer; two grandsons: Tyler (Cassie) of Sun Prairie and Trevor of Kaukauna; one brother: Walter (Virginia) of Blair; four sisters: Rita Smazal of Auburndale, Mary (Jim) Krause of Wisconsin Rapids, Doris Meacham of Wisconsin Rapids, and Annette Fleischman of Groveport, Ohio; one sister-in-law: Betty Fleischman of Pittsville; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Michael J. Fleischman, on Sept. 28, 2020; and one brother: Donald Fleischman.
