Gladys Wollmer
1940-2020
Gladys M. Wollmer, 80, of Gilman, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 29 at the Marshfield Medical Center. After 60 years of marriage, she rejoined her husband, Wayne at 5:07 p.m., the exact time he left us 25 days earlier. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Gladys was born on Nov. 11, 1940 in Ford Township to the late Clarence and Gladys (Shufelt) Miller. She married Wayne Wollmer April 23, 1960 in Hales Corners.
Wayne and Gladys moved their family from Racine to Gilman in order to take over the Miller family farm. After retirement, Gladys continued to help her son on the family farm. She loved to tend to her many flower gardens and bake treats for her family.
Gladys is survived by two sons, Randall (Linda) Wollmer of Altoona and Joel Wollmer of Gilman; two daughters, April Brode of Gleason and Jill (Mark) Chovan of Gilman; nine grandchildren, Daniel (Jillian), Carlos and Alex Wollmer, Codey Hatfield, Austin (Niki) and Derek Schilling, Bryce Chovan, Amy Brode and Jessica (Ryan) BrodeFrank; and five greatgrandchildren, Peter, Hattie and Hannah Wollmer and Dallas and Morgan Schilling. She also leaves behind nine loving siblings, Richard Miller of Lublin, Connie Morarend of Waseca, Minn., Clarence (Connie) Miller of Medford, Merlin Miller of Gilman, Frances (Sidney) Lefebvre of Elkhart, Ind., Ardella (Don) Walworth of Random Lake, Bonnie Perman of Winter Haven, Fla., John (Shirley) Miller of Owen and Arliss (Kim) Westerlund of Racine.
In addition to her parents and husband, Gladys was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alicia Wollmer; sisters-in-law, Jean and Nancy Miller; and brother-in-law, Jerry Perman.
