was a 1981 graduate of Medford High School. His marriage took place on May 21, 1988 in Medford to Jane M. Gebert. After his education, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1981-1985. After the military, he worked as an owner/operator truck driver until the time of his death. He enjoyed spending time with his children, fishing, hunting, motocross racing and his dogs. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford.

Tom is survived by his wife, Jane of Medford; son, Jack Holmes; twin daughters, Grace and Lily Holmes, all at home; his parents, Ken and Mary Holmes of Medford; mother-in-law, Donna Gebert of Medford; sister, Paula Liske of Medford; sisters-in-law, Anne (Rich) Burghaus and Susan (Wayne) Markow, both of Medford; and brother-in-law, John Liske of Medford. He is further survived by nieces, nephews and many, many friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Thomas Gebert and his grandparents.

Thomas “Tom” M. Holmes, 57, a township of Medford resident, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2020 while driving truck in Lincoln County. Services for Tom will be private, family only at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford with Father Patrick McConnell officiating and military rites performed by the Medford Area Military Honors Team. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Medford. There will be a public visitation from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 24 at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford. Due to COVID concerns, there will be a mask requirement during the visitation times.
