Charles “Charlie” L. Catron

Charles “Charlie” L. Catron, 62, of Medford, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020 at his residence, surrounded by his family, under the care of Hope Hospice. A memorial service for Charlie will take place at a later date. Charlie was born to John Sr. and Mary Ann (Moore) Catron on April 17, 1957 in St. Joseph, Mo. He married Pamela Ashlock on Aug. 31, 1984 in St. Joseph and she survives. He owned his own truck for several years before moving to Medford in 1992. In Medford he drove truck for Tombstone until 2013. He then drove for Prochnow until 2016. In his spare time he enjoyed tinkering with cars, riding motorcycle, traveling, he especially enjoyed his time in Hawaii. He also enjoyed watching movies, playing pool in league, 9 ball, bowling, barbequing and spending time with family and friends. In addition to his wife, Charlie is survived by his children, Camie (Chris) Lutz of Platte City, Mo., Wesley Catron of Medford and Matthew (Thida) Catron of Huntersville, N.C.; grandchildren, Summer and Sage Lutz of Platte City, Mo. and Emma Catron of Medford; siblings, John Jr. (Virginia) Catron of St. Joseph, Mo. and Debra (Chuck) Jeffers of Martell, Neb.; sister-in-law, Dena Catron of Geneva, Neb.; father- in-law, Frank Howard Jr. of St. Joseph, Mo.; and longtime friends, Dennis and Kathy Ashworth and Rita and Tadd Sandstrom, all of St. Joseph, Mo. and Perry and Gloria Emmerich of Medford. Charlie is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wilbur Catron; brother in infancy, James Catron; and mother-in-law, Arneta Ashlock-Howard.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Charlie’s name may be made to the family for use in cancer research and treatment.
