Steven “Bacon” G. Piller

1966-2020

Steven “Bacon” G. Piller, 53, of Owen passed away on Feb. 7, 2020 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 14 at United Methodist Church in Medford with Pastor Angel Rosario officiating. Visitation will take place at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Steve was born in Medford to Gary Piller and Glatha Piller Smith on March 10, 1966. Steve was married to Ann Hayes and they later divorced. He later married Kathern and they also later divorced. Steve loved his dog, Max, and they went everywhere together. They loved to go back in the woods and watch geese or ducks in the pond behind his house. When he drove truck, Max would go along. Steve was an over the road trucker for a while but later went to local hauling. He was attending Methodist United Church in Medford and when he could not make it there, he would go to the Catholic Church in Owen.

Steve is survived by his parents, Gary and Glatha, both of Medford; daughter, Heather Piller of Withee; grandchildren, Anthony, Stefan and Delilia; brother, Scott (Kristy) Piller of Medford; niece, Emily; nephews, Cordell, Slater and Gatlin; and aunts and uncles, Sandy Tank of Gleason, Bruce Piller of Fond Du Lac, Lynn (Doug) Retherford of DeKalb, Ill., Mark (Debbie) Pillar of Ocala, Fla., Betty (Dennis) Elliot of Cortland, Fla. and Rocky Piller of Crystal Lake. Steve had lots of friends and family that he enjoyed talking to.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, Yvonne Smith in 2006, Walt Peters in 2013, Bobby Piller in 2015 and Dolly Piller in 2013; stepfather, Terry Smith in 2013; and uncles, Dennis Piller in 2015 and Larry Tank in 2016.
