Lee “Fox” D. Schuster
1942-2019
Lee “Fox” D. Schuster, 77, passed away at Aspirus Care and Rehab in Medford on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. Per his request, no services will be held. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Sunday, Nov. 17 from 12:30-3 p.m. at Holy Rosary Social Hall in Medford. Lunch will be served during the celebration.
Lee was born on April 2, 1942 to the late Edward and Bertha (Fetzer) Schuster in Medford. He grew up in the area and graduated from Medford Area Senior High. On Jan. 16, 1970 he married Joanne M. Baumgartner. After graduation he served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964. He worked in Milwaukee for 10 years at International Harvester trucking before returning to Medford. He worked for Krug’s Bus Service, Melvin Companies and retired from the Taylor County Highway Department in 2005. Lee enjoyed his family and home, the outdoors, feeding and watching the birds, camping, water sports and mechanics. Special to Lee was attending outdoor events and rallies with his son, Matthew, and his faithful canine companion, Buddy.
Lee is survived by his wife, Joanne; his son, Matthew of Stetsonville; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by a brother, Ray; and a grandson, Maxwell Schuster.
