Randy was born on March 2, 1956 in Medford to the late Elizabeth F. (Baumer) and Clarence C. Sackmann. He attended Stetsonville elementary schools and Medford High School. Randy resided in Phillips and worked at Marquip for a period of time. Presently, he was employed by Freudenthal Manufacturing in Medford. In his free time, Randy enjoyed being a private pilot who flew out of the Medford airport, fishing, remote controlled boats, hunting and hobby farming. Randy was a member of Hobbyland Flyers.

Randy is survived by his siblings, Rick of Stetsonville, Lennethe Adams and Kathryn (Jeff) Klinger, both of Medford and Theresa (Samuel) Zagorski of Gilman; and six nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald in 2015 and Brian in 2017.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to Randy’s family for a future designation.

Sackmann, 63, a town of Deer Creek resident, passed away on Monday, Oct. 14, 2019 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past two days.
