Do you have clothing hanging in the closet that never gets worn? Don’t just stuff it into the far recesses of the closet, donate it to a good cause.

Through the Savers FUNdraiser program, the Cadott Community Library is willing to take those unwanted clothes and accessories off your hands.

“We will be paid a small amount, per pound, and hope it adds up,” said Cody Panozzo, president of the Friends of the Cadott Community Library. “We will use the money to help support library programming and necessities.”

Unpriced items need to be in garbage bags, then dropped off in April, Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the library. Local pick-up can also be arranged, April 26-27, by calling 715-415-3286.

“In the past, the friends have funded the new seed library, snacks for patrons, care closet items, as well as the movie license,” said Panozzo.

Proceeds also help take some pressure off those having spring thrift sales, as, when their event is over, they don’t have to take their unsold items to Savers.

“Also, our fundraiser is helpful to anyone who wants to thin out their closet this spring, but not go through the trouble of having a thrift sale on their own,” said Panozzo.

Panozzo is also looking for more people to join the friends group.

“Friends can help with future fundraising events, including working concessions, sharing a special talent for library programming and helping to make the library a better place,” said Panozzo.
