Richard “Harold” Baughman
1918-2020
Richard “Harold” Baughman, 102, of Sheldon, passed away on Oct. 17, 2020, at his daughter’s home in Eau Claire.
Memorial and graveside services at Sheldon Cemetery for family will be private. In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family requests memorials to the Sheldon Church of Christ, W5570 Pierce St., Sheldon, a family when Harold was drafted in 1942. Harold served his country in WWII in the 119th Infantry Regiment landing at Normandy, France. He sustained injuries while fighting at the Siegfried Line earning a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. After his honorable discharge, Harold worked to build his life as a farmer. He retired from farming in 1959 and began his 25year career as a rural letter carrier, retiring in 1984.
Harold was a lifelong member of the Sheldon Church of Christ.
Harold is survived by his children, Keith (Shirley), Lynette (Bryce), Larine (Dan), Brenda (Jerry), Kristi (Rod); his daughter-in-law, Janet; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 76 years, Arline; son, Kevin; sisters, Gladys and Fern; and brothers, Foster, Lester, and Melvin.

WI 54766. Harold was born to Errol and Lillie (Ringer) Baughman in Dawson County, Mont., moving to Wisconsin in 1918. Harold helped his dad on the family farm and worked as a milk hauler.
Harold met the love of his life, Arline, and they were married in 1940. Harold and Arline were in the midst of clearing acreage to begin farming and starting Paid Obituary 96136
