Arts tour rescheduled for Sept. 19-20
‘Unmasked’ series to be shown in Neillsville
Clark County Economic Development Corporation & Tourism Bureau is hosting its 10th Annual Clark County “Spring into the Arts” Tour on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The “Spring into the Arts” Tour will highlight Clark County’s finest artists, guest artists and their creations.
Also, the Clark Cultural Art Center (CART) in Neillsville, will be celebrating the new art series, “Unmasked,” by local artist Shawn Ganther. Ganther has shown work in galleries and museums across the globe. His resume includes shows at the Pentagon and Lincoln Center, and his documentary, Lionhearted, is a permanent installation at the Smithsonian. He now brings his work home.
Join the CCEDC for the release of his new series, “Unmasked,” and a special viewing of the film with discussion and question and answer at the Clark Cultural Art Center (CART) on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Take a spring drive and meander along the scenic country roads and through quaint communities to the studios of painters, potters, woodworkers, metal workers, jewelers, weavers, glass workers and much more.
Follow the map, watch for the signs and discover where the artists live and work, view their processes and inspirations, and take advantage of the unique opportunity to purchase directly from the artist.
