Brenda L Le Houillier, 62, Lublin, was involved in an accident on May 13 at 2:04 p.m. at the intersection of Hwy 13 and CTH O in the town of Medford. According to the accident report, the Le Houillier vehicle was northbound on Hwy 13 and attempted to turn left (westbound) onto CTH O. Le Houillier turned too early and entered the southbound turn lane for eastbound traffic on CTH O, striking the stop light in the median. The stop light was knocked to the ground and broke. Le Houillier was uninjured but seemed very confused about what had happened. Le Houillier stated she did not remember the accident or what had occurred. Le Houillier said the last thing she remembered was that she was told to turn left at the first set of stop lights, so she did. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the right front corner and right side front. It was towed from the scene. Wrong side or wrong way, failure to keep in designated lane and confusion or disorientation by Le Houillier were listed in the report as factors in the accident.

The vehicle fishtailed along the road and entered the south ditch where it struck a field access driveway embankment, became airborne and overturned. Pineda Diaz said she be- came confused and hit the gas pedal and not the brakes, causing her to lose control of the vehicle. Pineda Diaz sustained suspected minor injuries, but was not transported for medical treatment. There was damage to the entire vehicle and it was towed from the scene. Speeding too fast for conditions, failure to control, running off the roadway, operating a motor vehicle in an aggressive or reckless manner, over-correcting/over-steering and looking away from task by Pineda Diaz were listed in the report as factors in the accident.
