Tammy Satterthwaite joined Aspirus on Jan. 27 as regional director for Aspirus Medford Clinics. She will work with northwestern regional medical director Dr. Susan Frazier to provide vision, leadership and direction for Aspirus Clinic locations in Athens, Gilman, Medford, Phillips, Prentice and Rib Lake.

Satterthwaite comes to Aspirus with over 20 years of clinic administration and operations experience. Most recently she served as a regional practice administrator at SCL Health for several rural primary care clinics in Wyoming and Montana.

An outgoing and sincere person, Satterthwaite enjoys being active in her community. Though she often finds herself in leadership roles while at work, church or in the community, she enjoys the balance of home and work, and tries not to take herself too seriously. She loves to laugh and really get to know people.

“I look forward to becoming part of the Medford community and am eager to make a difference to the community in the complex world of health care,” Satterthwaite said. “It is my hope to lead our regional rural clinics to do great things for our patients.”

Satterthwaite earned her bachelor’s degree in 1989, followed by a master’s degree in divinity in 1993 and a master’s degree in business administration in 2009.

Born in Oklahoma, Satterthwaite has lived primarily in Minnesota and Wyoming, and now resides in Medford. Her husband, Rick, is a former pastor and current licensed behavioral health counselor. They have four children and five grandchildren who now all live in Wisconsin.
