Teresa M. McGuire

1933-2020

Teresa M. McGuire, 86, of Medford, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020 as an inpatient at Aspirus Med Surge where she had been taken earlier in the day. There will be a private family memorial gathering for Teresa at a later date. Burial of her cremated remains will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. Teresa was born on Dec. 25, 1933 in Rib Lake to the late Joseph and Ilene (Newcomb) Probst. She married Don Fuchs in Rib Lake, and was later divorced. Teresa worked as an activities director at various nursing facilities. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and dancing. Her favorite song was “Dancing Queen” by ABBA.

Teresa is survived by her children, Gary (Tami) Fuchs, Dan (Tracy) Fuchs and Jayne (Bruce) Strama, all of Medford, Mary (Lynn) Nernberger of Grinnell, Iowa, Gayle Fuchs of West Pueblo, Colo., Russ Fuchs of Wausau and Lisa (Randy) Scholl of Medford; daughter-in-law, Judy Fuchs of Burlington, Colo.; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Leo Liebl, Joan Eisner and Laverne Probst.

Along with her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Fuchs in 1963 and Gene Fuchs in 2017; sisters, Dorothy Schrader, Geraldine Anders and Mary Becker; and brothers, Oscar Probst and Fred Probst.
