James J. Penk, 65, Lublin, and Bruce M. Christoph, 37, Boyd, were involved in an accident on December 31 at 1:17 p.m. on Seventh Avenue in the town of Roosevelt. According to the accident report, the Penk vehicle was plowing snow from a driveway at N1350 Seventh Ave. and drove out onto the roadway where it was struck by the Christoph vehicle which was southbound on Seventh Avenue. Penk sustained serious injuries and was transported to Aspirus Medford Hospital where he later died. Christoph sustained minor injuries and was transported to Aspirus Medford Hospital for medical treatment. The Penk vehicle sustained damage to the front, left front corner, left side front and left side middle. The Christoph vehicle sustained damage to the front, left front corner and right front corner. Road surface conditions were listed as a factor in the accident. Christoph was issued a citation for operating while suspendedcausing death.
Brandon J. Annala, 22, Westboro, and Alexis J. Decker, 20, Dorchester, were involved in an accident on December 26 at 11:58 a.m. at the intersection of Hwy 13 and Anns Way in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Annala vehicle was northbound on Hwy 13 passing through the roundabout at the intersection with Anns Way. The Decker vehicle was entering the roundabout from Anns Way and failed to yield the right-of-way, colliding with the Annala vehicle. Decker said she did not see the other vehicle. The Annala vehicle sustained damage to the right side rear and right side corner. The Decker vehicle sustained damage to the front and left front corner. Failure to yield the rightof- way by Decker was listed in the report as being a factor in the accident.
Larry E. Brager, 71, Lublin, and Rafael Aguilera Bonilla, 34, Curtiss, were involved in an accident on Jensen Drive in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Aguilera Bonilla vehicle was westbound on Jensen Drive. The Brager vehicle pulled out from a driveway from the south and turned left onto Jensen Drive, striking the Aguilera Bonilla vehicle. Brager said the Aguilera Bonilla vehicle was in his blind spot. Lynn M. Albers, 66, Medford, and Danielle M. Childers Stokosa, 29, Medford, were involved in an accident on December 31 at 8:38 a.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Medford. According to the accident report, the Albers vehicle was southbound and the Childers Stokosa vehicle was northbound on Hwy 13. As the two vehicles approached each other, Childers Stokosa lost control of her vehicle and it slid into the southbound lane of traffi c, colliding with the Albers vehicle. Both vehicles sustained damage to their front ends. Failure to yield the right-of-way and failure to control by Childers Stokosa were listed in the report as factors in the accident. She was issued a citation for failure to yield the right-ofway.
