The Loyal and Neillsville track and field teams traveled to the UW-Stevens Point multi-activity center on April 3 to compete in the Rosholt-Webko-Politos Invitational. The Greyhound girls were led by strong individual finishes and relay teams to help them dominate in a 24-team field, taking fourth. The Neillsville girls also had several individuals place in the top eight to score points for their team, allowing them to place eighth overall.

Loyal results Addysen Wolf had the most individual placings at the invite. She took first place in two events, running a 8.12 in the 60m dash to win that event while also jumping 5 feet in the high jump to take first.

Individual results for the Loyal girls are as follows: Olivia Nikolai, 3rd, pole vault, 8’, 16th, 60m hurdles, 11.49; Summer Smith, 3rd, triple jump, 32’6”; Aaliyah Pearson, 10th, 400m dash, 1:07.59, 14th, 60m hurdles, 11.44; Annika Schley, 15th, 800m run, 2:54.84, 20th, 400m dash, 1:11.56; Lillian Boushon, 16th, shot put, 27’11”; Noelle Teschner, 20th, 60m dash, 8.87; Hope Peroshek, 22nd, 60m dash, 8.88; Gwen LaMarr, 27th, 800m run, 3:08.44; Raelyn Fritz, 42nd, 60m dash, 9.53; Ellie Robida, 53rd, 60m dash, 9.95.

The Loyal girls had two relay teams compete for them at UW-Stevens Point. The 4x200m relay team of Peroshek, Teschner, Smith, and Wolf placed second with a time of 1:55.23. The 4x400m relay team of Teschner, Smith, Wolf, and Pearson finished the course in 4:36.87 to take sixth.

Other individual results for the Loyal boys are as follows: Jerome Buchanan, 24th, long jump, 16’11”, 25th, 60m dash, 7.80; Andrew Lavengood, 27th, 800m run, 2:26.49, 54th, 60m dash, 8.35; Jaden Smith, 34th, shot put, 34’4.75”; Joe Treffinger, 44th, 400m dash, 1:04.69; Devon Roehl, 46th, shot put, 32’3”; Jacob Schmidt, 47th, 60m dash, 8.23; Jackson Roehl, 76th, 60m dash, 9.31.

Neillsville results Gracie Schoengarth was the top individual to place for Neillsville, taking third in the 60m hurdles with a time of 10.76. She also took 19th in the triple jump with a leap of 29’. Her teammate, Tayler Smith, also competed in the 60m hurdles, taking fifth place with a time of 10.97.

Individual results for the Warrior girls are as follows: Kaylee Lawrence, 5th, 400m dash, 1:02.41, 5th, long jump, 15’.5”; Laylah Walk, 7th, 60m dash, 8.59; Rachel Dux, 7th, pole vault, 7’6”; Sophie Hanson, 8th, 800m run, 2:41.04; Gabby Kuhn, 10th, pole vault, 7’; Brailey Opelt, 12th, high jump, 4’4”; Brynn Heck, 12th, pole vault, 7’; Braelyn Anding, 15th, high jump, 4’4”, 16th, 400m dash, 1:09.83; Emily Gerhardt, 26th, high jump, 4’; Jessica Kuhn, 27th, shot put, 25’11”; Haylee Schultz, 29th, 1600m run, 7:23.71; Morgan Strangfeld, 30th, shot put, 25’2”; Claire Hannasch, 32nd, triple jump, 24’2.5”; Scotlyn Hericks, 33rd, 1600m run, 7:54; Tayler Smith, 34th, 400m dash, 1:17.36; Abigail Backaus, 36th, long jump, 11’11”; Rebecca Veltus, 800m run, 3:28.04.

The Neillsville girls had one relay team compete and place. The 4x400m relay was run by Hanson, Dux, Heck, andAnding, which they completed for a combined time of 4:38.18 to take seventh.

Micah Ziebell and Marcus Luchterhand were the only individuals from the Neillsville boys team who placed in the top eight. Ziebell took seventh in the high jump with a leap of 5’6” while Luchterhand took 7th in the shot put with a throw of 41’11.75”. Luchterhand also took 17th in the long jump with a leap of 17’4.5” and Ziebell took 18th in the 400m dash with a time of 58.65.

Other individual results for the Neillsville boys are as follows: Brody Bergemann, 9th, 60m dash, 7.53; Colter Dillenbeck, 10th, triple jump, 36’9”; Zion Jones, 13th, 60m dash, 7.60, 14th, pole vault, 9’; Lucas Strangfeld, 13th, pole vault, 9’, 27th, 400m dash, 1:00.67; Gabe Sheikh, 18th, 60m hurdles, 11.73; Andrew Blum, 22nd, shot put, 36’1.50”; Zeb Schultz, 23rd, pole vault, 7’ 30th, 800m run, 2:28.42; Liam King, 25th, 800m run, 2:23.58; Evan Hart, 27th, 60m dash, 7.82, 37th, shot put, 33’7.25”; Hunter Schultz, 30th, 1600m run, 5:45.21; Sebastian Whiting-O’Keefe, 33rd, triple jump, 30’9”; Skyler McDonald, 36th, 1600m run, 5:58.36.

The team also had two relay teams compete, one of which scored points by placing sixth. The 4x200m relay team, made up of Bergemann, Dillenbeck, Landon Rakestraw, and Jones took sixth place by running a 1:41.18 in that event. The 4x400m relay team of Rakestraw, Liam King, Schultz, and Sheikh finished in 15th place with a time of 4:04.78.

Team results The Loyal girls finished with 43 points to take fourth place overall out of 24 teams, placing behind Kewaunee (45), Lourdes Academy (57), and Bonduel (64). The Neillsville girls took eighth with 25 points. In the boys events, Loyal took 19th place out of 24 teams with six points and Neillsville placed 17th with seven points.
