Calling all members of the JREC, we need you!

Jump River Electric Cooperative’s (JREC) 87th annual meeting of its membership, is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, held at the Ladysmith headquarters warehouse, just north of Ladysmith along State Hwy. 27, with additional participation available from the Hayward branch office. Registration begins at both locations at 9:30 a.m., followed by the business meeting at 10 a.m.

In appreciation of member participation, attendees will receive a $25 energy credit and a door prize (one per membership). There will also be an opportunity to win one of five, $100 energy credits or the grand prize of a $500 energy credit, at the meeting’s conclusion.

“Active member involvement is essential to the cooperative’s success,” said JREC general manager/CEO Kurt Harris. “The annual meeting provides an opportunity for members to learn about the co-op’s efforts to stay ahead of changing technology, evolving industry needs and member expectations. This is also a valuable chance for us to hear your feedback and insights.”

Members will vote on three director elections and two proposed bylaw amendments. Voting can be done electronically or by mail-in ballot, ahead of the annual meeting.

For those attending the meeting in-person and who have not yet cast their ballot, they can vote during registration. For any inquiries regarding the various balloting options or deadlines, contact the cooperative, at 715-532-5524 or visit jrec.com.

Participating in the annual meeting and voting embodies the cooperative principle of democratic member control, a cornerstone of this organization for over 87 years.

“Your voice and vote are important in shaping the future of JREC,” said Harris. “We look forward to your participation.”
