Cadott hits target at Augusta shoot

Progress continues with the Cadott archery program, as they once again took first place, this time, at Augusta, March 1. Out of nine teams, Cadott came up with the top spot, scoring 3,353.

“I was happy with our performance on Saturday,” said coach Scott Christenson.

Senior Brooklyn Hrdlicka took top honors, with a score of 291, followed by eighth grader Lorelai Puchalski, with 285. Sophomores Isaac Wellner and Gabe Dohms, and senior Mozelle Walthers all scored 281, while juniors

Logan LaNou and Mary Walthers each had a score of 280.

“We had several PR (personal records) on Saturday, and are heading in the right direction,” said Christenson.

Junior Danielle Sikora came after, with a score of 279, while sophomore Jada Loken and junior Olive LaRose scored 278, and junior Alexa Gindt had 276. Following that, sophomore Payton Pederson shot for 274, as did freshman Carter Slagle, with junior Abi Bowe, eighth grader Keirsten Evanson and junior Myka McCullough all scoring 273.

After that, junior Marcus Burlum scored 272, while freshman Andrea Wundrow had 271 and freshman Kaylee Stai scored 270.

“We have two tournaments left to work out all the ‘kinks’ before the State tournament on March 28-29,” said Christenson.
