Dependability, service, leadership and patriotism, are all qualities that are looked for in a recipient of the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award. An individual is chosen by teachers and peers, who recognize those traits, as well as service in their homes, schools and communities.

For Cornell, the person who embodies these qualities, is none other than senior Briana Glaus.

“It honestly feels really rewarding, knowing that the things that I do don’t go unnoticed,” said Glaus.

Glaus keeps busy academically, attending CVTC for dental assisting, as well as playing volleyball. She also helps youth with volleyball camps and volunteering with the fire department.

She’s grateful to her parents, for always believing in her and pushing her to do her best. Glaus also wants to encourage younger students to achieve success.

“Don’t stress too much about things,” said Glaus. “Keep your spirts up and good things will come.”
