Patricia Tauchen

Patricia “Pat” Ann Tauchen, 67, of Dorchester, died unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.

She was born March 23, 1957, in Titusville, Pa., to Charles and Mary Louise Brickner. When Pat was young, the family moved to Wisconsin. She graduated from Antigo High School in 1975. Following graduation, she worked at GTE until the company moved from Wausau. She then held various jobs until finding her second passion working BRI in homecare. She enjoyed making visits to people at home and helping them with their day-to-day living and made many friends while doing so.

In 1978, she married Steve Beilke. Together they had two children and resided in Bowler and Wausau. Steve preceded her in death in 1995.

On March 6, 1999, Pat married Dale Tauchen at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Wausau. In 2004, they built their dream home, complete with a craft room for Pat, on Dale’s father’s farmstead in Dorchester. She truly enjoyed picking out fixtures and décor to make it their own.

With her craft room, Pat created beautiful cards and ceramics for friends and family. She loved to meet up with her friends at Culver’s or meet for games and bingo at the Medford Senior Center.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Dale, of Dorchester; children: Stephanie (Tom) Andersen of La Crosse and Bradley Beilke of Wausau; siblings: Sandy (Ed) Calvin of Hartstown, Pa., and Ken (Shelley) Ressel of Green Bay; her beloved grandson, Steven Thomas Andersen; and her cats, the two inside ones and all of the outside ones. She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Roger and Jeanette Beilke and Gerald and Jean Tauchen; and her brother, Jim (Bonnie) Brickner.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Medford with Pastor Barb Krug, SAM presiding. Burial will be held in the spring at Highland Cemetery in Bowler.

Visitation was from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
