Dorothy “Doat” Irene (Celske) Hattamer
Dorothy “Doat” Irene (Celske) Hattamer was born to Albert and Jessie Celske, Feb. 24, 1933.
Doat married Clifford O. Hattamer, Sept. 26, 1953. Shortly after that, they purchased the farm where they resided for their 53 years together.
They raised their family and provided a loving home to several strays that their children brought home. She loved her farm. Zip and Jake, her dogs, her beloved chickens, stray cats of the Estella Township, maple syrup season in the spring and splitting wood in the fall (lots and lots of wood.) Nobody could stack wood like Doat, she was quite the artist.
She was active with bowling and pool leagues for 60 plus years. She shared this with the loving company of Gilbert Walthers, for the past 10 plus years.
Doat will be missed by everyone who had the privilege to have her in their lives. We love you.
She is survived by her children – Debra Kay Johnson, Diane Clara Mullins (Michael), Randall Allan Hattamer (Mischelle) and Julie Frances Gilbertson (Paul); foster children – Robert Fleming, Maxine Fleming (King) and Gene Fleming; grandchildren – Sarah Jo Larson, Jolene Rose Ducommun, Amber Irene Paulson, Carrie Ann Paulson, Michael Robert Mullins, Ryan Chad Geissler, Nicole Ann Stilley, Britney Lynn Hattamer, William C. Hattamer, Kyle Eric Gilbertson, Keith Allen Gilbertson, Kate Ann Boos, Brooke Elizabeth Smith and Nikki Lynn Gilbertson; 40 great-grandchildren; seven great-greatgrandchildren; and loving companion – Gilbert R. Walthers.
