Vircks elected to FBLA state officer team, 5 members qualify for state conference

Loyal High School will host the 2026 Region 2 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Regional Leadership Conference after member Jonah Vircks was elected to the state FBLA officer team as Region 2 vice president. Vircks is an extremely active member of the Loyal FBLA chapter, serving as this year’s president! Now he will have much more on his plate, as he furthers his reach throughout the state of Wisconsin!

Vircks joined FBLA his freshman year and has never looked back; he is a three-time state qualifier and has served on Loyal’s officer team for the past two years. In addition to Vircks’ competitive success, he has worked tirelessly behind the scenes on many FBLA initiatives to ensure the Loyal chapter runs smoothly! He is an invaluable member and will be a great asset to the state officer team!

Regional Leadership Conference

The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Regional Leadership Conference was held Feb. 1 at Edgar High School. Nearly 700 students attended the conference in person, with many competing in events and attending workshops to better themselves. The Loyal chapter had almost 50 members compete in contests ranging from objective tests in content areas such as accounting or healthcare administration, to production events such as word processing or spreadsheet applications, to performance events such as public ser vice announcements or job interviews.

Loyal had several members qualify for the State Leadership Conference, which will take place in Green Bay at the end of March. Members who place in the top three of their event qualify for state. Loyal’s qualifiers include: Jonah Vircks and Joe Treffinger in public service announcement (second place), Ben Heath in spreadsheet applications (second place), Flynn Hanson in intro to business concepts (third place), and Olivia Nikolai in organizational leadership (third place).

In addition to state qualifiers, Loyal also had several members who earned top-five finishes: Devon Roehl in accounting 1 (fourth place), Elliot Hederer in computer applications (fourth place), Jordynn Corder in job interview (fourth place), Evan Kautzer in securities and investments (fourth place), Jacob Schmidt in word processing (fourth place), Jake Lindner in intro to business procedures (fourth place), Colter Nehrlich in intro to business communication (fifth place), Madelyn Suda in intro to business procedures (fifth place), Raeyln Fritz in intro to financial math (fifth place), and Payton Rueth in word processing (fifth place).
