Eileen Dallmann
Eileen C. Dallmann, age 85, of Holcombe, formerly of Unity, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 1,2025, at Marshfield Medical Center in Weston surrounded by her family.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity. The Rev. Teri Hanson will preside. Family and friends are welcome from 11 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the church. Live stream will be available for those unable to attend on the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home Facebook page or after the service anytime on Facebook or the website. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Colby is entrusted with the arrangements.
Eileen was born on June 18, 1939, the daughter of John and Signe (Johnson) Johnson. She received her teaching degree from Medford Teachers College and her master’s degree from UW-Stevens Point. Eileen’s first teaching job was in 1957 in Unity teaching first and second grade. She ended her 33 year teaching career at Spencer where she taught primarily math. Eileen was united in marriage to Dennis Dallmann in 1962. He preceded her in death on February 3,1991.
Eileen liked to travel, especially up to the cabin, enjoyed bowling, playing cards, going to the casino, playing fantasy football and was an avid fan of sports, especially the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers. She also coached Olympics of the Mind while teaching in Spencer, taking students to compete at the state and national level. Eileen also served as the teacher’s union rep for several years. Most importantly, she loved and cherished being with her family. Eileen is survived by three children: Brian (Mary) Dallmann of Owatonna, Minn., Greg (Jodi) Dallmann of Owatonna, Minn., and Wendy (Tara) Dallmann of Chetek; five grandchildren: Andrew, Jenna, Morgan, Anthony (fiancée, Sydney) and Cheyenne (Austin) Bayer; five greatgrandchildren: Thea, Linkon, Clayton, Rhett and Ridleigh; her significant companion, James “Larry” Baird of Holcombe; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Walter Johnson and three sisters: Verna Dallmann, Helen Ayer and Vivian Bloom.
