To open their season, Jan. 11, the Cadott archers were in action, taking first place, with a score of 3,345, at Stanley-Boyd’s inaugural meet.

“I was pleased with our performance on Saturday,” said coach Scott Christenson.

Coming up with top honors, was senior Mozelle Walthers, with a score of 279, followed by junior Zakary Hladilek, with 278, while junior Logan LaNou also shot a 278. Senior Brooklyn Hrdlicka came next, with 276, as did sophomore Payton Pederson, with freshman Carter Slagle scoring 275, along with sophomore Jada Loken.

Senior Emma Romanowski finished with a score of 272 and eighth grader Mathew Koffler shot for 270.

“I like to use the first tournament of the year, as a baseline to gauge our progress as archers,” said Christenson. “Some of our archers started off on the right foot, shooting their personal bests, while others realized they have a lot of work ahead of them.”
