Wolfpack nearly brings a Northern Badger title back

After moving through the 215-pound bracket at the Northern Badger Classic in River Falls, Dec. 27-28, Cornell-Lake Holcombe-Gilman sophomore wrestler Taydyn Angell very nearly nabbed yet another title. However, Angell ran into the force that was Henry Vander Heiden, of Freedom, who took the championship match, by fall, in 5:59.

Sophomore Lucas Halida (132) also wrestled, but dropped his last match to Barron’s Ethan Eriksen, in an 8-0 major decision, as did senior Lee Zagorski (285), who watched his match go to Edgar’s Corey Koeppl, in a 1:43 fall.
