Cadott takes one out of four to start the new year

The Cadott boys basketball program was in action over the holiday break, against four tough opponents, coming away with one win out of the mix.
Dec. 27 vs. Ellsworth non-conference (L 74-60)
In a game played at Elmwood, Cadott was on the road to take on their opponent, but in the end, dropped the match, 74-60.
Senior Braden Schneider came up big, notching 34 points, while senior Parker Davis added 10 and junior Asher Sikora was right behind, with 9.
Dec. 28 vs. Elmwood-Plum City non-conference (L 88-81)
The next day, Cadott was back in Elmwood, taking on the host team in what would be a close affair, but Elmwood-Plum City pulled out the win, 88-81.
Schneider again led, with 25 points, with senior Cameron Allard close behind, with 21.
Jan. 3 vs. Spencer non-conference (W 71-68)
In the first game of the new year, the Hornets were off to Spencer, eeking out a slim victory, 71-68.
Leading for Cadott, was Schneider once more, with 26 points, while Allard had 18 – 15 of those from three-point land. Davis came next, with 10 points, with senior Blane Mengel and Sikora each adding 5.
Senior Jackson Barone came up with 4 points for the Hornets and junior Collin Kowalczyk knocked in a three-pointer.
Jan. 6 vs. Stanley-Boyd conference (L 80-67)
Finally, Cadott made the short jaunt to play on rival Stanley-Boyd’s court, but the game and bragging rights would stay with the home team, 80-67.
Allard had a great game, with 30 points to his credit, while Schneider had 18.
