Rosemary Theresa (Krause) Brandner, 83, of Tomahawk, formerly of Medford, went home to be with her heavenly father on Monday, Dec. 2, 2024 surrounded by her loving family under the care of Compassus Home Hospice. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 12 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Fr. Patrick Mc-Connell officiating, followed by a meal in the church fellowship hall.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Thursday at the church.

Rosie was born Aug. 2, 1941, in Westboro to Merwin and Nellie (Poncek) Krause. She grew up in Westboro and graduated from Westboro High School, class of 1959.

In 1959, she married the love of her life, Edward Brandner Jr. Together they shared 65 wonderful years and had six children.

The newly married couple moved to Milwaukee where she worked at Dutch & Dairy and had their first child. They later moved to Westboro in 1962 where they started raising and growing their family. In 1971, they made the move to Medford, purchasing their hobby farm. Rosie did daycare while being a stay-at-home mom to her six children. Once her children were grown, she worked at Marathon Cheese until retirement and moved to Tomahawk in 1997.

She continued her love for childcare by providing daycare for some of her grand and great grandchildren in Tomahawk. Rosie loved spending time with her family and camping. She also had many hobbies including gardening, crafts, painting, polka dancing and snuggling with her sweet dog Koda. Rosie will be dearly missed by so many. She was known for being one of the most hard-working women, afraid of no task, and her love for children.

She is survived by her husband, Ed of Tomahawk; her children, Mark (Kathy) Brandner, Wayne (Sue) Brandner, Lynn (David) Connelly, Lori (Scott) Waldhart, Scott (Heidi) Brandner, Lisa (Chris) Bembinster. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren, Jessica, Stephanie, Joshua, Brock, Cheyanna, Amanda,Jason,Aaron,Shannon,Noah,Kenzie,Steven, Elizabeth, Kristen, Alyssa, Lauren, Max; and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Shirley (Emery) Klemm, Betty (Ron) Brandner, Dwaine (Arla Jean) Krause, Midge Krause and DeNise Jung; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dog, Koda.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Hank Krause; and a daughter-in-law, Sheila Brandner.
