Allen Franklin Helland, 60, Cornell, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire, surrounded by his loving family, after unfortunately losing his long-time battle with lung cancer. He fought as long and as hard as he could, with a heart full of love, and with continued support from his family and friends.

Allen was born April 25, 1964, in Stanley, the son of Hans and Lorraine (Faust) Helland.

He attended Cornell High School and worked at various jobs. He will be remembered for his β€œDad” jokes, his unique sense of humor, his kindness and his willingness to help anyone in need.

Allen was a huge Green Bay Packers and WWE fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and ginsenging. More than anything else, Allen enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his life partner of 27 years – Shauna Flood; his children – Chelsy (Eric) Helland, Jessica Helland, Travis (Kaylee) Helland, Megan (Bailey) Blodgett, Ryan (Abigail) Helland, Jesse (Jessica) Wolfe,

Aleshia (Christopher) Hetchler, Jonathan (Chevy) Hakes and Sharlene Hakes; his grandchildren – Annabelle, Quinnton, Annyka, Lincoln, Saylor, Pepper, Emilia, Jennifer β€œRosie,” Freya, Natalya, Aleah, Raith, Victor and Alexaria β€œLexi”; his siblings – Joni Langel, Cheryl (Steve) Olsen, Brenda (Terry) Knowlton, Emil (Bonnie) Langel, Arthur (Tammy) Helland and Stacie (Josh) Graham; his in-laws – Claudette Smith, Tracy Flood, Shane Flood and Bridget (Kurt) Bandach; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Hans Leroy Helland and Lorraine Elizabeth Helland; great-nephew – Matthew Arthur M; his beloved dog – Sheba; and numerous aunts; uncles and other relatives.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12, at Borton-Leiser Funeral Home in Cornell, with Pastor Greg Sima officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., and go until the start of the service, at 2 p.m.

Interment will follow at the Estella Cemetery.
