Ryan R. Wokatsch
1992-2024
Ryan R. Wokatsch, 32, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 2, 2024. He was born April 22, 1992, in Wausau, son of Randy and Kerry (Utecht) Wokatsch. On Aug. 16, 2014, he married Brittany Peche at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Marathon. Ryan worked as an underwriter for Church Mutual Insurance in Merrill. Growing up on a farm, he was known for being dependable, hardworking, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to get the job done.
He enjoyed basketball in high school, playing for the Huskies in college, and many Gus Macker tournaments. He also enjoyed watching football, going to the gym, deer hunting, playing cards, and yard games with his family and friends. Ryan was always pleased to participate in many family vacations, which are now such treasured memories.
Ryan was a beloved son and brother. Above all, Ryan was a loving husband and devoted dad and he cherished time spent with his wife and children.
Survivors include his wife, Brittany; children, Stella and Samuel; parents, Randy and Kerry; grandma Caroline Wokatsch; brothers, Kyle (Breanna) of Cottage Grove, Ross (Mariah) and their children, Aria and Kali, and Kory (Rebekah Henrichs) of Plover. Aunts, Jen (Jeff Erdman) Reinke of Waukesha, Theresa (Ryan) Wetzsteon, Linda Mueller, Amy Charboneau. Uncles, Jim (Sue) Wokatsch, Ken (Ruth) Wokatsch of New Berlin and Andy (Tầm) Utecht, Ed (Annette) Jardanowski, and Frank Jardanowski. Father and mother-in-law, Mike and Tammy Siroin of Ogema; grandfather and grandmother-in-law, Myron and Barb Peche, Medford; brothers-in-law, Michael (Mady Tritt) Siroin of Omro, and Matthew (fiancé Kala Albers) Siroin and their child, Oakley, of Medford.
He is further survived by close family friend, Randy Beck; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Henry Wokatsch; grandparents, Don and Joan Utecht; and grandpa, Robert Reinke (survived by Kathleen Hannes).
Visitation was from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Following the visitation was a service of comfort at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Marathon.
