The Greenwood Area Food Pantry, 302 N. Main St., will be open from 3-5:30 p.m. for anyone who needs assistance.

The Trinity Lutheran Church, 201 N. West St., Loyal, will have the “Meal with a Peel,” serving baked potatoes, with assorted toppings; Swedish, Russian and BBQ meatballs; and salads and bars. Serving will be from 4-7 p.m. and is carry out or drive through only. Call 715-255-8880 for delivery within the city limits.

There will be a chili supper fundraiser for the Loyal Area Historical Society, from 4-6 p.m., at St. Anthony’s Church dining hall, 407 N. Division St., Loyal. There will be chili, cheese, crackers, cornbread, bars, coffee and milk, along with raffle baskets and a quilt raffle.

There will be a pop-up food pantry in Granton from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at 110 N. Main St. Drive-thru style, no ID or proof of income required. Groceries loaded directly into your vehicle. May pick up for more than one household.

The Greenwood American Legion Post 238, 108 S. Main St., will host a fish fry from 4-7 p.m.

The Highground will have a legacy stone ceremony and a military working dog ceremony, and host the Day of Peace community event.

Pastor Paul Oman, with Drawn to the Word Worship and Artistic Experience, will paint a larger-than-life mural of “Faith Like a Child” at 10 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 110 W. Begley, Greenwood. The story will unfold before your eyes. A free-will donation to cover expenses with proceeds going to local food pantries will be taken. The Highground will host a legacy stone ceremony and a fall bake sale.

St. Anthony Parish, 407 N. Division St., Loyal, will have its Fall Festival. Oct. 5 events include the Heartland Harvest Lawn Mower Pull at the Loyal Sportsman’s Club, W3553 Chickadee Road, at noon. Oct. 6 events include a roast beef dinner at the church from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Loyal Public Library will host Game Group at 1 p.m. with a variety of board and card games to choose from. All are welcome to attend.

The Clark County Extension will host a fall pasture walk from 10 a.m.-2 p..m at the Joseph and Emma Nolt farm, W6562 Popple River Rd., Greenwood. Guest speakers will cover topics and promote discussion on grazing performance in holsteins, pasture fertility, monthly pasture establishment, land and fencing systems.
