Closing remarks
I would like to say hello to teachers, families, fellow students, and faculty members joining us today for the Graduating Class of 2023. My name is Kaylee O’Malley, Gilman is where I have called home my entire life so far, alongside many of the students here with me. I would like to thank you all for coming and being here with us because today is the day we start our new journeys, and finally get to see what we are made of in the real world. Today we say our goodbyes to every memory of roaming the halls in this school, and to each other, knowing we may possibly never see each other again.
Some of us have known each other our whole lives and I am just as excited as all of you to see where their journey takes them, as well as seeing where my own adventure takes me. This world we are raised in will always give us many new opportunities, but I believe that you have to be brave enough to take some of the risks it takes to get where you want. My hope to my classmates that we all have that bravery within us to push us forward in this life and get us to and through all of our adventures. I want to thank all the teachers that spent the years putting up with our class. I know as much of a pain we can be we also always leave an impression and always have a good time. They are who helped to push us to get to where we are now. I do have to say to all of our middle school teachers who told us the things we did wouldn’t fly in high school, well, you guys were wrong. Sorry to say we got away with a lot of entertaining things throughout these four years, but you have to have some fun because what is life without fun. And lastly some words of wisdom for the class of 2023, remember what pitbull says, everybody going through a tough time believe me been there done that but everyday above ground is a great day remember that. Congrats to the class of 2023, we made it!
