Gregory Mueller

Gregory D. Mueller, age 59, of Edgar, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, surrounded by his loving family after courageously battling Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA) for many years, under the tender care of Compassus Hospice at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023, at St. John High Steeple Lutheran Church, rural Edgar. Rev. Michael Mathey will preside. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. Family and friends are welcome from 5 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, and on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service, all at the church. Greg was born on February 9, 1964, the son of Elgart and Eleanor (Lallathin) Mueller in Wausau. He graduated from Edgar High School in 1982. On August 25, 1984, Greg was united in marriage to Linda Ballerstein at St. John Lutheran Church. He worked construction for Mueller Builders and Liberty Homes and was the maintenance supervisor for The Waterford in Colby, Wisconsin Rapids and Park Falls. Greg and Linda enjoyed tending to their apple orchard at their home for the past 20 years. They also have hosted Boondockers.

Greg was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, loved going to the cabin, and taking fishing trips. Greg was also a Hunter Safety instructor with Wisconsin Deerhunters Inc. and a Boy Scout leader.

Greg is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda; two children: Hannah Mueller (Jason) of La Crosse and Ross (Myranda) Mueller of Wausau; his father, Elgart of Edgar; four siblings: Rick (Marianne) Mueller of Edgar, Jeff (Lisa) Mueller of Edgar, Julie (Mike) Leffel of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Corey (Renee) Mueller of Edgar; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
