Accident reports

Thomas D. Wehe, 53, Curtiss, and Faye L. Curran, 94, Medford, were involved in an accident on June 11 at 10:56 a.m. on Correction Lane in the town of Medford. According to the accident report, the Wehe vehicle was eastbound on Correction Lane. The Curran vehicle was exiting a driveway at W5514 Correction Lane to proceed west. The driver of the Curran vehicle made a wide turn and entered the eastbound lane of traffic where it struck the Wehe vehicle. Wehe stated he tried to stop but was unable to avoid the accident. Both vehicles sustained minor damage to the left front corner. Failure to keep in designated lane by Curran was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.

Jennifer L. Walters, 34, Medford, and Janet A. Doriot, 79, Medford, were involved in an accident on June 14 at 2:49 p.m. in a parking lot at 140 S. Eighth St. in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, Walters vehicle was stopped in the drive-through at McDonalds when it was struck from behind by the Doriot vehicle. Doriot stated she tried to stop but her foot slipped off the brake pedal. Both vehicles sustained damage to their respective ends.

Kiarah R. Behling, 16, Medford, and a vehicle owned by Lee V. Paul, Medford, were involved in an accident on June 21 at 10:04 a.m. in the parking lot at Medford High School. According to the accident report, the Behling vehicle was backing up when it struck the legallyparked and unoccupied Paul vehicle. Behling stated she did not see the Paul vehicle. The Behling vehicle sustained minor damage to the left rear corner. The Paul vehicle sustained minor damage to the right side middle. Looked but did not see and looking away from task by Behling were listed in the report as factors in the accident.

Mark A. Malinowski, 64, Excelsior, Minn., was involved in an accident on June 4 at 6:33 p.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Medford. According to the accident report, the Malinowski vehicle was southbound on Hwy 13 towing a trailer. Malinowski stated he observed several vehicles in front of him slowing down due to a vehicle making a turn onto Correction Drive. Malinowski stated he was unable to slow down in time due to the weight in the trailer and attempted to pass the vehicles on the shoulder of the roadway, but a vehicle pulled out in front of him and he swerved into the ditch to avoid a collision. Malinowski sustained possible injuries but was not transported for medical treatment. The vehicle sustained damage to the right side rear, right rear corner, rear, left side rear, left front corner and front. It was towed from the scene.

Tyler C. Sparby, 31, Medford, was involved in an accident on June 10 at 10:25 p.m. on CTH M in the town of Chelsea. According to the accident report, the Sparby vehicle was westbound on CTH M when it entered the

Misty D. Zyduck, 42, Colby, and Brian K, Krug, 64, Medford, were involved in an accident on June 12 at 6:30 p.m. on CTH O in the town of Medford. According to the accident report, both vehicles were westbound on CTH O near Progressive Avenue. The driver of the Zyduck vehicle missed the turn and pulled over onto the side of the road. Zyduck stated she did not see the semi tractor-trailer unit operated by Krug and proceeded to make a u-turn. The driver of the Krug vehicle attempted to swerve to avoid the collision, but was struck by the Zyduck vehicle. The Zyduck vehicle sustained damage to the front, right front corner, left front corner and left side front. There was no damage to the Krug vehicle. Looked but did not see by Zyduck was listed in the report as a factor in the accident. She was issued citations for operating while suspended and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Sparby sustained suspected minor injuries but was not transported for medical treatment. There was damage to the entire vehicle and it was towed from the scene. Sparby was issued citations for failure of occupant to notify police of an accident, failure to keep vehicle under control and hit-and-run to property adjacent to a highway.

Suzan P. Mianowski, 73, Medford, was involved in an accident on June 21 at 7:25 p.m. in a parking lot at 160 Medford Plaza in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Mianowski vehicle was attempting to exit the parking lot when the driver failed to notice a concrete pole and struck it. There was damage to the pole and the front passenger side bumper of the vehicle.

Christopher S. Hughes, 18, Medford, was involved in an accident on June 21 at 7:50 p.m. on East Allman Street in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Hughes vehicle was eastbound and traveling through the portion of East Allman Street which is under construction. The driver was using the brakes to put the vehicle into an uncontrolled skid. During one of the skids, the vehicle bottomed out on a manhole cover, causing damage to the undercarriage.

Michael P. Strick, 54, Medford, was involved in a hitand- run accident on June 18 at 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Crane Drive and Correction Lane in the town of Medford. According to the accident report, the Strick vehicle was northbound on Crane Drive when the driver failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection with Correction Lane and the vehicle entered the ditch at the northwest corner of the intersection. The report stated Strick claimed the accelerator on the vehicle stuck. The report went on to state Strick walked home and did not report the accident to law enforcement. The vehicle sustained minor damage to the front and right front corner and was towed from the scene. Running off the roadway by Strick was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.

Taylor County Law Enforcement

Scholastica S. Chang Frisinger, 54, Bruce, was involved in an accident on June 2 at 10:22 a.m. on CTH F in the town of Taft. According to the accident report, the Chang Frisinger vehicle was eastbound on CTH F when the driver failed to negotiate a 90 degree turn in the roadway. The vehicle entered the east ditch and rolled onto its side. The vehicle sustained damage to the front, left front corner and right side. It was towed from the scene. Running off the roadway by Chang Frisinger was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.

The following bear-related accident was reported: Stanley D. Warminski III, 60, Stanley, on June 15 at 10:37 p.m. on CTH S in the town of Aurora.
