ALENDAR CCL CLOSED FOR LABOR DAY

The Colby Community Library will be closed Saturday, Sept. 4, thru Monday, Sept. 6, for the Labor Day holiday. The library will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 7 at noon. WI-FI is always on for the public’s convenience.

SINGLE ENTRY AT COURTHOUSE

On Sept. 21, the Clark County Sheriff will implement a secured single entry into the Clark County Courthouse at 517 Court Street in Neillsville, in an effort to enhance the safety of the public and employees.

The secured entrance and exit will be located at the northwest first floor doors at the courthouse along 6th Street. An entrance and exit for the handicapped and disabled only will be available at the south fifth floor doors at the courthouse along 5th Street.

The public will be allowed access using these entrances Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

BRUSH PICKUP ON SEPT. 7

The city of Abbotsford will do curbside brush pickups one last time this fall, on Tuesday, Sept. 7. After that, residents will be expected to haul their own yard waste to the city’s brush pile.

WHEELCHAIR AVAILABLE

The Dorchester American Legion has at its disposal an electric wheelchair, which is available to be loaned out at no cost to someone who needs this type of machine to get around. The wheelchair is also capable of tilting backwards so as to release pressure points. Call Jim Jantsch at 715-654-5432. CUP OPEN FOR CURB-SIDE PICKUP

The Community United Pantry located at Zion Lutheran Church, 301 North 2nd Street, Colby is open for curbside pickup. The CUP will be open Tuesdays, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the regular entrance on the south side of the church building. Call 715-223-2166 for more information.

TRINITY FOOD PANTRY OPEN

The food pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity is still open on Wednesdays, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Additional precautions have been put in place due to COVID-19, but people can still pick up food during those regular hours. DORCHESTER LEGION POST 517

All military veterans, regardless of when they served, are invited to join the Dorchester American Legion Post 517 once a month to enjoy comradeship with other veterans, along with food and drink and discussions on ways to help others.
