1959-2021

Dale M. Andersen, 61, of Chippewa Falls passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems Luther Hospital. Dale was born on July 31, 1959 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley to Hans and Alice (Tarris) Andersen. He grew up in the Gilman area and graduated from Gilman High School in 1977. On May 5, 1984 he was united in marriage to Jolene Dubiak at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Gilman.

Dale had a vast work portfolio including farm labor, road construction, basement pouring, bartending, lumber work and many of his own independent projects.

Among his jobs, he worked for Carlson Pool in Eau Claire, as an Oil Shooter for 26 years with Scott Construction often petition his daughters to hold a light for him when his work took him past sundown. Whether he got them up and running or they wound up as scrap metal, he always proved to be frugal down to the bone, no rim or screw would go to waste and no car would be junked without trying to fix it if he had anything to say about it. Dale loved to absorb and appreciate the realities of the world through numerous documentaries and memoirs, and instilled this same love of knowledge and historical appreciation in his children.

When asked what qualities they remembered most about Dale, his family had too many to count but listed below are a few anyone who knew him could agree with; Dale was goofy. He was disciplined. He was smart, he was creative, he was strong. He was funny and tenacious and loving beyond belief. He was a provider and he was a confidant.

Whether he is remembered as a father, son, husband, grandfather, brother, friend or just that passing man on the street whose smile made you smile, he will be remembered and loved forever.

Dale is survived by his wife, Jolene of Chippewa Falls; his five daughters, Nichel Andersen, Sara Andersen, Margaret Andersen all of Chippewa Falls, Audrey (Cory) Jackson of Cadott and Carrie Andersen of Gulfport, Miss.; three grandchildren, Cameron, Landen and Holley; his parents, Tom and Alice Demuth of Gilman and one brother, Dan Andersen of Gilman.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hans Andersen.

of Lake Delton and since 2013, at Northern Crossarm of Chippewa Falls.

Dale enjoyed all of life to the fullest he could and made sure everyone around him tried to do the same. He was a social man who could make friends wherever he ventured and was never short of stories to make you laugh, cry or just feel entertained. He could often be found wandering the woods with his daughters and brother during hunting season or in his garage working on a new project he had concocted to help make his wife’s garden perfect. When asked for help, he was always ready and willing to give more help than needed or would offer even before asked. His generous nature made him a valued friend and neighbor who was eternally kind and giving.

He enjoyed working on project cars and would
