The Edgar Circle of Joy food pantry is open to those in need of food in the Edgar Village Hall on the first Wednesday of the month, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and the third Wednesday of the month, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
St. John’s School
St. John’s School has announced it will hold two graduation ceremonies on Wednesday, May 26. A kindergarten graduation is planned for morning Mass and an eighth grade graduation is set for 7 p.m.
Summer school
Edgar Public Schools has announced it is planning summer school June 21-July 23. School will be five days per week from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. The school will offer two sessions of swimming lessons, June 7-10 and June 14-17.
Free breakfast and lunch will be served during summer school.
Community garden
The Village of Edgar is offering plots in a community garden located south of Scotch Creek.

Chalk Fest
The Village of Edgar has announced that Chalk Fest and a historical reenactment in Oak Street Park will be held Friday, June 25, noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday, June 26, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Chalk demonstrations on sidewalk squares near the intersection of Third Ave. and Redwood Street are planned for Friday. Judging will be on Saturday. A free-will pancake breakfast will be offered by The Mill Church on the southeast parcel of the Third Ave. and Redwood Street intersection.

Free for all
Edgar School District continues to offer free lunches and breakfasts for all students in grades 4K-12. The free lunches and breakfast will be offered through June 30.
Bible school
St. John’s School, Edgar, has announced there will be a vacation Bible school for children in grades PK-5 under the theme “Discovery Mission” June 14-21, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
