Farm Tech Days looks to give back

Youth and youth-in-agriculture groups that volunteer for the show will take funding precedence

The Executive Committee of the Wisconsin Farm Technology Days 2021 – Eau Claire today announced that it adopted guidelines for the grants it plans to offer with the proceeds of the show, which takes place on Huntsinger Farms in Eau Claire, July 20 – 22, 2021. The committee believes it will have significant proceeds to share that will make an impact for youth and youth in agriculture organizations in Eau Claire and surrounding counties for the next decade.

“We are pressing forward with our plans for a great Farm Tech Days in Eau Claire this summer, and with our proceeds, we want to make a big impact on the future of agriculture in our area,” said Mike Gintner, Executive Committee Chair.

Since the Eau Claire County Executive Committee was formed, the group has been focused on putting on a show that shows the bright future of agriculture throughout the Chippewa Valley. The grants and scholarships that will be made available to youth and organizations in the area will be a direct result of the show’s planning and success.

“The show is three days, but our impact in Eau Claire and our agriculture community will be forever,” added Gintner.

In order for youth or youth in agriculture organizations to be eligible for scholarship and grant funds directly after the show and in future years, they or at least one member of their organization must volunteer for the 2021 Eau Claire Show. Open volunteer spots, as short as 4 hours, can be seen and signed up for at www. wifarmtechdays.org/volunteers.

In order to ensure that future members of youth and youth in agriculture organizations to qualify for grants and scholarships, a member of that organization must volunteer this year, and designate their affiliation on the volunteer form that is required for each shift that is worked. Members, family members, friends etc. are all encouraged to volunteer and to designate an organization for each shift.
