Mardell R. Kaser, age 80, Marshfield, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, at Sauter Rembs Funeral Home in Stratford, with visitation beginning at 4 p.m. and continuing after the service. Interment will take place at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Eau Pleine at a later date. Services will be live streamed at https://www. rembsfh.com/facebook-livestream/facebooklivestream Mardell was born on November 18, 1943, in Racine, to Hank and Ruth (Morris) Milford, and was a graduate of Horlick Senior High in 1962. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Daniel Kaser on October 26, 1963. In 1973, they moved to Daniel’s hometown area, where they purchased the Buckhorn Bar in Colby. After selling the bar in 1983, they relocated to Stratford, where Mardell embarked on a 27-year career with Figi’s. Together, they enjoyed outdoor activities such as motorcycle rides, boating, casino visits, and many traveling adventures. She devoted her time to caring for Dan while he battled with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Mardell’s true joy was being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a spitfire known for dramatic hand gestures and always with a lovely manicure. She deeply loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, proudly presenting the latest picture of an adorable child. She was the grandma they could count on for pool parties, dance class pickups, and assuring messages to the most recent Snapchat or Instagram post. AWESOME. She was an influential and integral part of their lives. Mardell is survived by her children Jeff (Edna) Kaser, Valerie Meddaugh, and Michelle (Ray) Zoellick, as well as her grandchildren Jesse (Heidi) Kaser, Chad (Whittney) Kaser, Heather (Brandon) Cwikla, Brittani (Jeff) Zoellick, and Danielle Meddaugh, and greatgrandchildrenEthan, Elliot, Elayna, Max, Dierks, Tae,and Florence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Kaser, her parents, Hank and Ruth, brother, Warren, and daughter-in-law, Ivy Kaser.
