Stratford’s varsity boys and girls track teams dominated Friday’s 52nd annual home invite on a calm and sunny 70-degree night. Straford’s boys squad scored 83.5 more points than runner-up Edgar while the Tiger girls scored nearly 50 points more than the runner-up Wildcats.

Tigers head coach Nate Heeg said it was a great night for his track and field squads.

“Both the girls and boys delivered and won the meet,” he said. “There were multiple personal bests and a few surprises as well. I’m so thankful for having a great community that came together to help pull off the meet on short notice after moving it back one day. There were so many volunteers and parents who stepped up. The athletes had a beautiful night to compete and as a result they had their best meet of the year.”

The following are the boys team scores: Stratford, 194.50; Edgar 111; Columbus Catholic 85, Owen-Withee 84; Auburndale 61; Colby 52; Assumption 49; Loyal 31.50; Spencer and Greenwood 2.

Stratford’s girls team won the invite with 147.83 points followed by Edgar with 98, Auburndale with 83, Assumption with 73, Loyal with 70.33, Owen-Withee with 64.50, Colby with 35, Columbus Catholic with 31.83, Spencer with 19.50 and Greenwood with 10.
