Loyal girls, boys take 4th at Medford
Loyal athletes competed at the Early Bird Invite in Medford last Thursday, with both the girls and boys teams placing fourth out of six teams, the girls with 71 points and the boys with 69 points.
“It’s a revolving door this time of the year. We have athletes coming off of injuries, not able to compete due to injuries, athletes who are sick and still competing, and athletes missing due to other school or family activities. This has always been the story for spring sports, other than that the weather has been better than normal,” wrote coach Jim Genteman in an email.
“Last night’s meet was the first outdoor meet for the athletes. There were a lot of good times and efforts shown. There were several first-place finishes. This should make practice go easier the rest of the week.”
