Join Operation Horses Heal for the industry-wide campaign, May 1-31 for Mental Health Awareness Month

Horses have been incorporated into various human health and wellness services for many years, however involving horses within the context of mental health is relatively new. Horses can make a big difference for the mental health challenges so many people face and help them transform in a safe and powerful way. That’s why Operation Horses Heal, with the help of title sponsor Zoetis, and executive producer, Horses for Mental Health are thrilled to announce the Seen Through Horses campaign will be returning for a third year.

Seen Through Horses is a peer-to-peer awareness campaign in which people, non-profits, mental health specialists, celebrities, influencers and businesses help to increase awareness, public engagement and raise funds to improve access to programs incorporating horses into mental health and personal growth services. The campaign is set to run the entire month of May 2024.

In 2023, the second Seen Through Horses campaign garnered support from equestrians of all levels, including celebrities like lifelong horseman Randy Travis, Grammy Winner, Tanya Tucker and Yellowstone actor, Forrie J Smith and many others. It also raised over $120,000 for non-profit organizations who transform lives through horses. The 2024 campaign, which will take place May 1-31, is on track to be even bigger than last year, with 75+ nonprofit organizations as Charity Partners.

Operation Horses Heal is excited to be a part of this campaign for the first time! We wanted to increase community awareness of the potential benefits of working with horses and knew when the opportunity came up we couldn’t pass it by!

In addition to our title sponsor and producer, premier partners supporting the campaign also include, The American Horse Council, American Psychological Association’s Section on Human-Animal Interaction (APA HAI), Arenas for Change (ARCH), Black in the Saddle, Equine Network, EQUUS Films & Arts, EQUUS Television Network, Horse Boy LLC, Horses & Humans Research Foundation, Institute for Human-Animal Connection, Natural Lifemanship, PATH International, Polyvagal Equine Institute, Temple Grandin Equine Center (CSU), and The HERD Institute.
