Lake Holcombe’s boys basketball program continued on with the season, facing off with a couple tough conference foes.

The Chieftains headed to New Auburn for the showdown, but went into halftime trailing by under double digits.

“…But, they couldn’t get the ball to fall in the second half…” said coach Joy Webster.

The Trojans claimed the win, 80-51.

Sophomore Brian Strzok, senior Harley Schroeder and sophomore Ryley Craker all hit double digits, scoring 13, 12 and 11 points, respectively. Junior Taye Yeager added 9 points, and sophomore Trent Lee and freshman Tyler Hattamer rounded out the scoring, with 4 and 2 points each.

Yeager and Ryley Craker combined for 8 assists for Lake Holcombe, while Strzok had 8 rebounds, followed by junior Trent Nitek, with 7, and Schroeder had 6.
