Michael James Holloway

Michael James Holloway, 58, Cornell, passed away at home, Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, with his family by his side.

Michael was born Oct. 31, 1965, in Stanley, to Charlene Holloway Telisak and Leon Holloway.

He attended school in Cornell.

Michael was never married and had no children.

He worked as a logger and loved working in the woods. He also loved hunting and fishing; it was his passion and favorite hobby.

Michael loved being with his family and friends. He is survived by his brother - Scott Holloway; Bloomer, sisters - Marilyn (Travis) Nelson, Eau Claire, and Melissa (Scott) VanDerFord, Benkleman, Neb.; half-sisters - Dixie Telisak, Medford, and Tammy (Bill) Black, Holcombe; half-brother - Tommy (Kristi) Telisak, Cornell; his aunts Cleon (Chris) Wright, Cornell, and Diane (Larry) Braden, Cornell; best friends - Tony and Connie Beighley, Cornell; and many nieces; nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother - Charlene Telisak; father - Leon Holloway; and his brother - Brian Holloway.

A graveside service will be held Friday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m., at the Cornell Cemetery, with a lunch to follow at the Cornell American Legion Hall.

The family requests memorial tributes be directed to Michael Halloway’s funeral fund, to assist with expenses.
