Alice M. Troupe
Alice M. Troupe, 91, formerly of Holcombe, passed away at the Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in Bloomer, Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023, following a brief illness.
Alice was born July 21, 1931, to Walter and Minnie Seeley, in Chippewa Falls.
She was raised in Holcombe, with her three siblings, and graduated from Lake Holcombe School as Valedictorian of her class.
Alice married the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Troupe, in 1950, and together, they raised four children.
She worked as a librarian in the Lake Holcombe School for 25 years. She loved books and was an avid reader.
Alice was active for many years at Holcombe United Methodist Church, where she shared her faith with the many special friends she met there.
She enjoyed crafting, painting, quilting and most of all, spending time with family. After she and Dick retired, they enjoyed traveling together to warmer climates.
Alice touched many people, and was known for her kindness and beautiful smile.
She is survived by her daughters – Kathleen (Charles) Weber, Menomonie, Carla (Donald Lee) Troupe, Rhinelander, and Lori (Edward) Lanzer, Bloomer; grandchildren – Jennifer (Louis) Mason, Joshua Weber, Kyle Lee (Savanna Lucasburke), Nicole Lanzer (fiancé Justin Andersen), Samuel Lanzer and Joe (Emilee) Lanzer; great-grandchildren – Ella Weber, Eli Weber and Oakley Lee; and sister – Ann Simon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband – Richard “Dick” B. Troupe; son – Richard “Rick” D. Troupe; brother – Robert Seeley; sister – Violet Seeley; and brotherin-law – Paul Simon. A memorial service will be held at noon, Wednesday, March 1, at Holcombe United Methodist Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the church. A luncheon will follow the service.
The family would like to thank her caregivers at Dove Healthcare Assisted Living Facility and Mayo Clinic Health System in Bloomer. Their kindness and professional care were greatly appreciated.
