Hornets put the sting to Chiefs on the road

It was a tough match on the road Sept. 1, for the Cornell football program, going up against non-conference opponent Alma Center-Lincoln. The Hornets started out the game in high-scoring mode and kept it up throughout the four quarters.
Alma Center notched 24 points in the opening quarter, then racked up 32 before halftime. Coming out of the break, they added another 16 and finally, in the fourth quarter, came up with a safety for two points.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs were held scoreless and the game went to the Hornets, 74-0.
Defensively, freshman Carter Pischke got a sack for Cornell.
