WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 26, 1998 Rietbrock farmer gets visit from state officials It’s nothing new for dairy farmer Lyle Guralski, town of Rietbrock, to show visitors how he grazes his 100 milk cows on intensively managed paddocks.

On Monday, it was the Wisconsin Secretary of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection Ben Brancel and Department of Natural Resources Secretary George Meyer who came calling.

The state officials came with plaques and grant awards for both the Central Wisconsin River Grazing Network and the Lower Big Rib River Watershed Project which is addressing farm manure run-off problems in the rural areas around Edgar, Marathon and west Wausau.

The officials joined 30-40 others to watch Guralski Holsteins contentedly munch on six inch tall orchard grass and fescue before they give milk.
