Found guilty
Luis Gerardo Baeza Lopez, 27, of Rib Lake, was found guilty due to a guilty plea of an amended charge of operating without carrying a license, amended from operating without a valid license (second within three years) and was ordered to pay $393.50.
Shannna Berger, 41, of Westboro, was found guilty due to a no contest plea for criminal damage and was ordered to pay $263.50. A charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed on the prosecutor’s motion.
Jeremy Dodge, 39, of Gilman was found guilty due to a guilty plea of an amended charge of resisting or obstructing an officer, amended from operating while revoked (revoked due to alcohol/controlled substance/ refusal 4th+) and was ordered to pay $579.
Socorro Gutierrez Ayala, 48, of Rib Lake was found guilty due to a guilty plea of an amended charge of operating without carrying a license, amended from operating without a valid license (second within three years), and was ordered to pay $393.50. A charge of operating a motor vehicle without insurance was dismissed on a prosecutor’s motion.
Megan Jo Hassemer, 38, of Medford, was found guilty due to no contest plea of Littering or Dumping and of disorderly conduct and was ordered to pay $464.
Michael Kaestner, 62, of Rib Lake, was found guilty due to a guilty plea of operating while revoked (revoked due to alcohol/controlled substance/refusal) and was ordered to pay $443. A charge of bail jumping - misdemeanor was dismissed but read in.
Dakota Marzinske, 27, of Medford, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of displaying an unauthorized vehicle registration plate, non-registration of an automobile <10,000 lbs., and operating a motor vehicle without insurance and was ordered to pay $614.10.
Denise Morschauser, 35, of Medford, was found guilty due to a guilty plea of OWI (1st) and was ordered to pay $1,083.50, have an ignition interlock device installed, have her license revoked for nine months and undergo an alcohol assessment. A charge of operating with PAC>= .15 was dismissed.
Chloe Smith, 17, of Dorchester, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of exceeding speed zones (11-15 mph) and to operating while suspended and was ordered to pay $375.80.
Michael Carillon, 31, of Sheldon, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of two counts of fourth degree sexual assault. Court orders a withheld sentence and places Carillon on probation for a period of 3 years. Conditions of probation are to pay the court costs, provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge, have a psychosexual evaluation done within 30 days at the agents discretion, write a letter of apology due within 30 days and to be approved by the probation agent, comply with any CPS recommendations. In count two the court orders 180 days in jail and to pay the court costs and provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge. Jail shall begin no later than September 18, 2023 at 4:30 p.m, Huber privileges and good time are granted and jail may be served in any county provided it is at no extra cost to Taylor County and the Taylor County Sheriff approves of the transfer. Costs totaling $886 are to be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Courts Office in the amount of $100 a month beginning September 1, 2023. A status hearing is scheduled for November 14, 2023 at 9 a.m. to determine if Carillon needs to register as a sex offender.
Patrick Davis, 33, of Ladysmith, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of operating while revoked (revoked due to alcohol/controlled substance/refusal) and was ordered to pay $443.
Jesse Faude, 49, of Medford, was found guilty due to a guilty plea of disorderly conduct (domestic abuse - threat) and to an amended charge of battery, amended from child abuse - intentionally cause harm. Court withholds sentence and places Faude on probation for 18 months, order to pay a $100 fine plus court costs on each count, provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge on each count, letter of apology to H.F and D.J.F due within 30 days and to be pre-approved by the probation agent, AODA and follow through with any recommended treatments, counseling as deemed appropriate by the probation agent. In the event of revocation Faude will receive three days of sentence credit. All costs are to be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Courts Office in the amount of $100.00 a month beginning August 1. Amount due totals $1,158.
Tonya Hart, 40, of Athens, was found guilty due to a guilty plea of bail jumping - misdemeanor and was ordered to pay $443.
Clay Hunt, 35, of Medford, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of bail jumping - felony and possessing a firearm- convicted of out-of-state felony. A charge of possessing a firearm- convicted of out-of-state felony was dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes. Court orders a 3 year prison sentence consisting of one year of initial confinement followed by two years of extended supervision. In the second count, the court orders 3 year prison sentence consisting of one year of initial confinement followed by 2 years of extended supervision. These are to run concurrent to each other. Conditions of probation are to pay the court costs on each count, provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge on each count, defendant shall not possess any firearm or weapon, defendant shall complete a mental health evaluation or a psychological evaluation, defendant shall attend AODA and follow through with any treatment at the discretion of the probation agent, defendant shall attend counseling at the discretion of the probation agent, defendant shall have no contact with B.B. and C.B. Defendant shall also pay back the extradition costs of $4,965. Defendant has 219 days of credit in the first charge and 224 days of credit in the second. Probation may be transferred to Arizona if that state allows it. Defendant is eligible for the substance abuse program. Total due to court is $5,483.
Jesse Jinkerson, 17, of Humbird, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of an amended charge of battery as a county violation amended from battery, and was ordered to pay $330.50.
Erik Korallus, 38, of Medford, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of OWI (3rd). Court orders a sentence of 75 days in the Taylor County jail with Huber privileges and good time (no sentence credit days), $1,870 fine, $33 blood draw reimbursement, DNA sample ordered, AODA and compliance with Driver Safety Plan, installation of ignition interlock device, 27 month driver’s license revocation, retroactive to any administrative suspension. A charge of operating with a PAC (3rd) was dismissed but read in.
Alyssa Puphal, 29, of Wausau, was found guilty due to a guilty plea of four counts of felony bail jumping; possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC (2nd+ offense), neglecting a child (specified harm did not occur). The following charges were dismissed but read in for sentencing purpose, misappropriate ID info- avoid penalty, possession of THC (2+ offense), possession of a controlled substance, possess drug paraphernalia, contact after domestic abuse arrest, felony bail jumping, contact after domestic abuse arrest, possession of controlled substance, possession of illegally obtained prescription, disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping. Court orders the following prison sentences: 9 months jail (118 days sentence credit); 1 year initial confinement/2 years extended supervision (134 days sentence credit); 2 years initial confinement/3 years extended supervision (133 days sentence credit); 2 years initial confinement/3 years extended supervision (130 days sentence credit); Count 1: 1 year initial confinement/2 years extended supervision; Count 4: 2 years initial confinement/3 years extended supervision (186 days sentence credit); 2 years initial confinement/ 3 years extended supervision (113 days sentence credit). All sentences to run concurrent. Defendant is eligible for the substance abuse/ERP program. Conditions of supervision shall include court costs on each convicted count; DNA sample and surcharge fee on each convicted count; must maintain absolute sobriety; must seek counseling as deemed necessary by the probation agent. Must have no contact with M.A.F. Total costs due equals $3,551.
Nancy Schaefer, 46, of Medford was found guilty due to a no contest plea of an amended charge of disorderly conduct, amended from procurement of alcohol, and was ordered to pay $263.50.
Elijah Zastrow, 19, of Marathon, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of homicide by negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Charges of criminal damage to property, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and disorderly conduct were dismissed. Court orders a withheld sentence and placement on probation for 5 years with the following conditions: 10 days jail to occur each year on August 21 and August 22 for the next 5 years, first two days to be served on August 21 and August 22, 2023 without Huber, may be served in any county at the expense of the defendant; 250 hours of uncompensated community service to which some of these hours must be spent speaking to youth groups about the effects of driving behavior; letter of apology addressed to Hunter Ried to be pre-approved by his agent; if the family of the victim requests a letter of apology addressed to them, so ordered, to be pre-approved by his agent; defendant must either be employed full-time or attending school full-time during this period; payment of court costs ($268); and submit a DNA sample and pay the surcharge fee ($250).

Charges of operating while suspended and operating a motor vehicle without insurance against Stanford Sullivan, 27, of Rib Lake, were dismissed on a prosecutor’s motion.
Charges of criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct were dismissed against Ethan Berry, 21, of Medford.
A charge of failure of operator to notify police of accident, was dismissed against Jesse Brossow, 32, of Stetsonville.
A charge of operating a motor vehicle without insurance against Kaijsa Ewer, 17, of Medford, was dismissed.
A charge of operating a motor vehicle without insurance against Dustin Kuechler, 27, of Cornell, was dismissed.
Deferred prosecution/sentencing
A deferred entry of judgement agreement was accepted for Kevin Waldhart, 44, of Merrill, for disorderly conduct (domestic abuse - threat) for a period of one year with standard conditions, and to write a letter of apology to C.W.W. due within 30 days and to be approved by the Taylor County Victim/Witness Coordinator. Bond was adjusted to allow Waldhart to leave Wisconsin.
A deferred prosecution agreement was accepted for Lacy Cook, 34, of Rib Lake for truancy (1st).
